Orange and Pear Crisp

Mix together oranges and pears, and you’ll get the perfect combination of tangy and sweet -- and a lovely filling for this fresh fruit crisp.

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  2. Combine flour and SPLENDA® Brown Sugar Blend in a food processor. Pulse to combine. Add margarine and process until crumbly. Place topping in freezer until ready to use.

  3. Cut orange sections from membranes into large bowl. Squeeze juice from membranes over fruit; discard membranes. To the oranges, add pears, SPLENDA® Granulated Sweetener, cornstarch, and nutmeg. Mix gently.

  4. Spoon fruit into an 8 8-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with topping.

  5. Bake 30 minutes, or until fruit is bubbling and topping is golden brown. Let cool on a rack for 15 to 20 minutes before serving.

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup SPLENDA® Brown Sugar Blend
  • 1/4 cup trans-free stick margarine, cut into small pieces
  • 8 medium seedless (navel) oranges, peeled, white pith removed
  • 2 large pears, peeled, cored, and cut into 1 1/2-inch chunks
  • 2 tablespoons SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener, Granulated
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
